Boo Review #5

Location: Carnival Carnivale

Haunter: ghost_boy3769, Class 3 Interactive

Pros: Great ambience, big crowds (sometimes), good snacks.

Cons: Long off-season, too many seagulls.

Review: This location has it all: old-fashioned fun and games, lots of mechanics to mess with, and (seasonally) lots of people to follow, watch, listen to, and interact with. Stroll the causeway and play games with the patrons, helping them win or lose at your preference. Listen to conversations more or less private to others. Watch families, lovers, children, old men, and young women and gather all the energy you could ever dream to find. Rumors of its haunting appear to be rampant among the living community, and some people seem to go there with the express purpose of having a ghostly encounter. This can be fun to oblige if you’re in the mood, and I’ve sent several guests home with delightfully shivery tales with which to regale their friends and family. Beware, though, that when the weather turns cold they shut down most of the attractions and you will not see anyone for days, weeks, or even months at a time. The area is connected to several piers, where you can usually find at least one errant stroler or, if you’re lucky, a couple on a romantic walk for a quick fix when you need one. Proximity to the coast does mean you’ll get a lot of strong breezes, particularly during the off season, and you’ll need to be fairly adept at anchoring your energy to stay here for any length of time. Watch out for the seagulls- they can all see you and they love nothing more than to make a game out of darting through your energy to get a lift of their own. It’s very draining. Overall, this is a once in a deathtime experience that everyone should take advantage of whenever they can. I try to spend a few months here every decade or so- it’s very refreshing.
